Hello Southwest Zone M Members,

This is my first update of the year on the new MAAC website. For 2026 it is business as usual from 2025, please keep following Transport Canada, MAAC guidelines and your club rules.

After a lot of effort, the new MAAC website is finally active. It is a huge step in the right direction for ease of use. One of the most requested features is the SEARCH function, I’m glad to say it is incorporated into the website. Note that the website is not final, work will continue to meet members demands.

If you haven’t renewed your MAAC membership for 2026, please take a few minutes to rejoin so that you are all set for the flying season.

Note that in 2024 MAAC made two major changes to help preserve cash; The printed magazine was cancelled and transitioned to an online format. Also, the physical membership cards were discontinued. You can download your membership card anytime by logging into your account on the MAAC website.

MAAC has experienced a drop in membership over the past years which is impacting our revenue stream. To help grow and strengthen the organization, a Membership Committee has been formed. More info to follow.

I had a chance to attend a few club meetings and noticed that the mood is becoming more positive. I’m looking forward to visiting even more clubs and lending a helping hand when I can.
